The outside air temperature display utilizes a very specific filtering routine of the Ambient Temperature Sensor signal so the display will update gradually without making large jumps in the reading. This is designed to eliminate the possibility of erratic readings under certain driving conditions.

Had a heck of a time trying to get the truck to turn over after I would get gas- that helped me figure out what the issue was. I have taken the light assembly apart and made sure the bulbs are plugged in correctly and have looked through the diagram of the fuse box and instrument panel box but can't seem to have any luck with locating the problem.
