What no one has mentioned yet is the tech upgrades you get from derelict freighter missions are class locked by system. What that means is if you do a derelict freighter mission in a system and you get a B-class tech upgrade, while it's random which tech upgrade you'll get (i.e. fuel efficiency, hyperdrive, combat, exploration, mining, trading), you'll only ever see them as B-class. Allows you to craft the Salvaged Frigate Module, the Cargo Bulkhead, the Storage Augmentation, the Multi-tool Expansion Slot, the Repair Kits and now the ExoSuit Expansion Unit.

I found a cargo bulkhead upgrade for my freighter. I thought cool I'll go upgrade my freighter inventory. The bulkhead was in my exosuit inventory. I went to the upgrade terminal and 1 cargo bulkhead let me fully upgraded both my general and technology freight inventories. I doubt you are supposed to be able to do that.
