If you have a voltmeter and a friend - measure the voltage at the small wire on the solenoid to ground & have your friend turn the key. If you have 11V or more and nothing happens the solenoid is bad. You might need a new key insert, for your switch, that wiggling, kinda indicates that. This could also be a combination of two or three things, one failure leading or causing another.
